Three rainy seasons in a row have failed in the Horn of Africa and its surroundings.

The next seasonal rains are supposed happen this month, and that hasn't pitched up yet. Chances are they will not.

We can blame this on La Niña, a frequent complex weather pattern that results from variations in ocean temperatures in Pacific Ocean close to the equator.

Whatever the reason, the end result is starvation for tens of millions of people .

So because I'm difficult that way, I dug up some data as to where these countries get their wheat imports from .

Take a look at the chart. Where do you think they are going to get their food from when the rains don't fall?
